The house is fully equipped and most things you would expect to find in a home will be present there. There is a list of what is in the cupboard to be used, as this is a family home and not a business there is no one to check apart from the people who use it. So, if you notice something is running low, please tell us. If you need to buy something please invoice us but please don’t leave the place with no loo paper!
The keysafe number will be provided to you by Katherine the day prior to your arrival, please do not share this number with anyone.
Please also note that the store which stocks everything you could possibly want is not open on a Sunday.
Please be considerate of The Sabbath rule which says that no work should be done on a Sunday. Please do not hang out washing on a Sunday or do anything that would disturb the neighbours.
Please leave the place as clean and tidy as possible, empty all the bins and do not leave food anywhere on the property as there are lots of rats in the area. Please strip the beds and leave the sheets on a pile on the bedroom floors. Bedding is found in the drawers under the beds if you need spare.
We expect the following available for your use
- Loo roll
- Kitchen roll, clingfilm, tin foil
- Soap, washing up liquid, washing machine powder
- Shampoo and conditioner and shower gel
- Bleach, floor cleaner, cloth
- Washing machine tablets
- Glass cleaner, shower spray, bathroom cleaner
- Bin bags and liners
Please replace any breakages you make. If It is something bigger than a glass or plate, or you notice something bigger is damaged, please email iain@9cross.co.uk to inform us.
There is unlimited Internet, a TV and a firestick (please remember to log out the firestick). There is also a DVD player.
If you wish to use the fire, please replace any kindling and coal that you use so that there is always some available for the next person
Dogs are permitted in the kitchen and sitting room area, but please don’t let them run through the house
Caretaker Joan lives opposite the old post office in number 5 (you have to walk past number 7 25 25a to get there)
The closest fuel station is in Swainbost
There is a sports centre with bowling alley at Sports nis Lionel
There is a Play park by the dunes at Eoropie
Just down the road is a museum and cafe called Commune eachdraudh.
